Location
Around 20-30 miles from main Vegas strip, takes around an hour and half to enter the place. Once you enter the place is huge. U can admire the beauty if the place while being there. No entrance fee as this is a open place.

Experience
There are many stoppages after u enter this place the place is huge so have many places or spots to admire the beauty of the place, huge big red rock mountains always attract u towards them. Really worth going to this place.
If you are a nature lover this place Is definetly for u click lots of pictures, u can sit down and enjoy and admire the place.

Services
As the place is almost isolated tourist spot some places have the public toilets just in case u have an emergency, but no food or any refreshment shops. So go prepared and pick up ur stuff and get here like water and some munchys if u like. Don't expect too much from the place it's just a natural destination which was worth going for me. If you have few days in Vegas this place is worth spending yours day as you can leave early in the morning get back in the afternoon rest a bit and get ready for the party on the streets of Vegas.

Hope this will be helpful for you.

Beautiful hike! If you Uber or Lyft from the strip make sure you have a plan for getting back. It’s easy to get out there but with no service and no one around, it can be a bit tricky getting back.

Get away from the glitz and glitter and be amazed at nature. We love the Red Rock Canyon National Park. Be careful on the highway coming and going there, people drive like maniacs.

Excellent public land area outside of Las Vegas. The welcome center is outstanding. I usually can get through one in 30 minutes. We spent several hours here. Next, you drive a scenic loop looking at some stunning views. The loop climbs the slope and you will see a change in vegetation. Views are highlighted in the morning and evening light. Bring plenty of water and you can walk numerous short walks through the rocks. If one stop is crowded move on to the next one until you find one less crowded. There is a spring on the opposite side of the red rock formation. You can drive to it and eat in a picnic area. Nice boarded walk follows a nature trail.

Love hiking the basin, or any other hike. So beautiful. Just not in summer, to dangerously hot. Go shopping at downtown red rock or Tivoli so great!

Not too far from the city is Red Rock Canyon State Park. It's absolutely breath taking from every angle. . The museum facility is very small but modern.

The Visitors Center is a great place to visit before you take your 13 mile through this amazing land. Once you walk through this interpretive center you will have a better understanding of the role of earth, wind, water, and fire. Be sure to introduce yourself to the tortoises. And don't feed the wild burros.

I absolutley love this place. I had visited red rock canyon before but this time took a different turn and instead of going into the real rocky area I went into this beautiful green area with rabbits running all over and it was just beutiful. I had to cut my trip short because it started to rain and up there it's no joke it goes from sunny to flash food in a second, but the trails were so easy to walk great for all ages and there is even a picnic area at the start. if you stick around during the rain, you'll get to see the toads too! This is a must visit place in Nevada and the drive from Vegas is not too long.

Located just a half hour west of Vegas this is a beautiful natural outdoor area. A sharp contrast to the strip it's absolutely worth going for a hike or get away from the city. It also has numerous locations for rock climbing and you will find many groups out there exploring routes up the walls.

This 13 mile loop is just west of the Summerlin area of Vegas and it is a breathtaking drive. The rock formations that create the "red rocks" are sandstone, and it is a true wonder of nature. The area is a national conservation area run by the Bureau of Land Management, and therefore there is a nominal fee to go through the park. It is also a popular spot for hikers and bicyclers, as well as rock climbing. La Madre Mountain, at 8,154 feet, is the highest point in the Conservation area. It's definitely worth a drive out to see it and snap some pictures.
