traveling to Phuket Island from March to early May since the heat and humidity can become unbearable. By the end of May, the monsoons have begun, and generally last through October. It’s not impossible to travel here during the monsoons, especially since the downpours are usually limited to the afternoon and evening. Traveling during monsoon season also means big discounts on your hotel and vacation packages, along with fewer crowds.

Located just a few minutes south of Karon, Kata is a favourite spot for families and those wanting to escape the boisterous night life and the hectic pace of Patong. Kata offers a wide range of hotels and guest houses to accommodate any budget; and all are relatively close to the beach.
Known as Phuket's surfing capital, there exists a small surfing community in Kata. Along with 2 beaches, Kata offers a wide variety of shopping, restaurants and bars to make your vacation comfortable and complete.
