This Chinese Pagoda was built to worship the Lady of the Sea and it´s an example of Chinese architecture mixed with some Vietnamese details. Even been located in a busy street of Saigon, the peace and the silence inside the temple was a surprise.

Thien Hau Pagoda was built in the 19th century and dedicated to the goddess Thien Hau. It regularly attracts both worshippers and visitors for its beauty and for its peaceful atmosphere. Here, incense coils are suspended overhead. and there are intricate ceramic friezes above the roof line of the interior courtyard. It is one of the most interesting places to visit in Saigon.

Thien Hau Pagoda is a Chinese Buddhist temple and is the main place of worship for the Buddhists, particularly for the Chinese community in Cholon. Cholon is the Chinatown of Saigon. The pagoda was made by the Chinese who also brought along their blocks and other structures by boat to help built the pagoda.
