This market is an important site of Ho Chi Minh City. During the day it’s a market where you can find clothes, souvenirs and food. At night the market closes the doors of the building but you can still find stands selling different things outside.
The market opened their doors in 1914. It has four doors with clocks over them, and is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. Showcases over 3000 ingredients of cooking, with food choices and almost everything that you’ve ever wanted to see in a big market.

Not bargain prices but worth a visit at least once if you visit HCMC. Haggling is required to get the best deal but due it being a tourist destination there will be crowds and not many bargains.

This market is a icon of Ho Chi Minh city. Price of goods here is a little bit higher than other market but the quality of goods is the best. You should bargain when shopping here, around 30~50%. It's a good place to enjoy local food here. It's closed around 6PM then night market will be operated until midnight outside.

Ben Thanh market has existed for a long time even before the French arrived in HCMC, also popularlu known as Saigon. Tourists to the market not only purchase goods or souvenirs but also have a chance to find particular images and characteristics shown in daily activities of the inhabitanymts in the city.

The most famous market in District 1. Sellers can take advantage of tourists, but it's still mainly a local market, so just look what the locals do, to avoid rips off

Biggest market in Ho Chi Minh for cheap and fake stuff. Make sure you negotiate with the vendors. Typically try to cut down their offer by at least half.

My go to place to shop and eat when I was staying in Ho Chi Minh city for 3 days.
I visited here again after 12 years, and seems that it got a lot more crowded but food stalls inside hasn’t changed.

Its touristy I know... But it's a cool market, full of souvenirs, food stalls and on the back you can find some fresh fruits.

Ben Thanh Market is the gigantic Farmers' Market, flea market, and food market all in one. If you're looking for souvenirs, Ben Thanh has them. The vendors aggressively engage you but feel free to walk around and browse. A lot of the vendors sell similar items to definitely take your time. If you speak the language, even better. You can haggle if you like but knowing that most items are fairly cheap, pay what you think is fair. I'm not going to haggle over $0.50. I visited twice during my stay in Ho Chi Minh. I bought a dress, Tiger Balm, and a rose gold ring. There are plenty of dried fruits, coffee, clothing, knick knacks, fake bags, souvenirs, etc., to be had here. It's definitely a must see experience.

It's a good place to shop for souvenirs. Variety of products to choose from. I've enjoyed buying and shopping from this place until I've found the local markets (wet market) and thought that products here are pricier if compared (but you know, you can always try to haggle).

About 2 minutes walk, it is a typical market that can be found in every city and district in Vietnam. It is the heart of every local in Vietnam. Evenings have nice street food outside too.

I'm so glad I went with locals who knew Vietnamese and would barter for me. Buy the dried mango! It's delicious! Best place to get souvenirs be warned, it's massive and packed with people; easy to get lost.

Great market for shopping for cheap clothes! In fact there are 2 markets, one in the day and one at night. Both are quite similar but you should give both a try. As per any night market you should try to bargain as much as possible. Day market has more foods. Mostly sells souvenirs and clothes/bags otherwise.

Sensory overload as you navigate busy, narrow isles of endless wares. Anything you can think of is located within this gigantic megaplex of bustling business. Bright colors of fruits and clothing, trinkets and more will dazzle your eyes. Not for the claustrophobic or calm hearted. You can expect to be called out by every vendor attempting to sell you their goods so don't go if you're bad at saying no or if you're a sucker for things like that. Very worth a walk through though. And very much so if you actually need something.

If you want some great market food, come to the Ben Thanh Market. They have a lot of traditional Vietnamese food for sale, as well as fresh juices. Prepare to be hassled by touts when you’re skimming the stalls, looking for a place to sit. The market is also a good place to hunt for souvenirs and you’ll find a lot of clothing, bags and makeup fakes. There are also sweet stalls and fresh fruit and veg stands. Make sure you bargain to find a good deal.

What is a visit to HCMC without a stop at this famous landmark?! A place for bargain hunters and souvenir shoppers. Don't forget to buy some freshly-grounded Vietnamese coffee powder from there too.

Many local people trading and buy here. Very crowded and can see various kinds of stalles selling souveniers, clothings, shoes, bags. Be careful to check out the price before buying and bargain with them.

Crazy place but to get the best price go inside; center of the market where prices are more competitive. It will take sometime to walk around for a good look of all products before bartering. Perfect place to get presents before flying home.

Ice coffee here are great.
