sure to book your hotel far in advance since rooms go fast from February through April. The area’s mild climate attracts visitors during the rest of the year, too, but to a lesser degree. Visiting in the summer comes with its own recompense: higher temperatures, humidity and occasional rain in exchange for discounted hotel rates and fewer crowds on the beach. However, be sure to keep an eye on the local weather since hurricane season runs from June through November.

Great shopping, restaurants and people watching. Check out the sunset on the pier, it's beautiful. If you are up for an adventure try a Jet Ski tour or parasailing.

You can find anything "beach-wise" here at Fort Myers Beach! It is usually about 40 minutes each way from "Villa Genoa".

Well known Fort Myers beach has shops, restaurants, kayak, paddle board, parasailing, and jet ski rentals. Boat rentals are available as well.

Heaped with sugar-sand, Fort Myers Beach is a popular destination for visitors eager to engage in watersports such as parasailing and kayaking – or just as eager to simply relax on the inviting beach. Fort Myers Beach sits on a little barrier island, about seven miles long, and the beach is fabulous – wide, gradually sloping, and thick with the area's justifiably famed sugar-sand

A crowded, tourist trap kind of beach area with loud drunken bars and overpriced dining ... But yes, a fun night out when you need to howl at the moon or need a tatoo!

Ft. Myers Beach is about 7 miles from rental home. This beach is great for a full day. Take the beach chairs and cooler and head to Ft. Myers Beach for the day. Besides the beach, which goes on for miles, you can take in some shopping and find a new favorite restaurant. If you rent a boat you can anchor right off the beach and swim in to enjoy the beach.

One of the best beaches in Florida and close to a major city. It can get very busy in season so be ready for long lines to get into the area.
