This is the largest museum in Exeter and it has a great collection of art, exhibitions, and more. There is a lot of history between these walls and you could easily spend an entire day exploring. It's a great place to bring your family on a rainy day!

This museum and art gallery is a fantastic option for a rainy day in Devon. Entry is free, making it especially suitable for families. RAAM traces the history of Devon from pre-historic times to the present day, as well as exhibits from all over the world including an excellent Egyptian section. I have been to the museum a couple of times and enjoyed the eclectic collection of artefacts. There are frequent temporary exhibitions. It's also worth mentioning the lovely café which serves locally sourced treats and Fairtrade tea and coffee.

If you are in Exeter, this is a place you can't miss to visit. Despite the old building, inside you will find a modern environment where you will be able to see ancients artifacts from the Devon area and understand little bit more about this part of England and its history. Every piece you wills is displayed with an information tag. To see the all exposition you will need a couple of hours and I'm sure you will enjoy them.
It's set in the city center, not far from the Cathedral and the Castle Gatehouse.
