I pass through Erie while driving on I-90. It's either a sign that I've made it past the long, dull ride of upstate New York or it's about to begin.

On Lake Erie, in western Pennsylvania, Erie is easily reached by car from Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. For a city of its size, it boast a substantial number of cultural opportunities, including a professional orchestra and a professional ballet company.
