There aren't many stops, just 13, but it's a fun and cheap way to get a sense of the city. Each station has its own art.

I do believe this project was a very sad waste of money. An attempt by the auto industry to pretend they cared about public transport but not really help implement anything useful. (PS same sort of story for the newer Qline).
All it does is connect the business areas with hotels, COBO conference center and some of the arenas. It is easier and far nicer to walk from place to place these days! It does not really serve a useful purpose to anyone these days from what i have been told.

Last (and only time) i rode it, on 3 stops the doors wouldnt even open! It is not used much and is far dirtier then it needs to be based on foot traffic.
However during events like comicon or anime shows at cobo it is apparently fun to take a couple beers on board and see the costumes.

Nick named the people mugger in the 80s it no longer holds that reputation, and is a cheap affordable way to get around, although it does go far it beats walking in the winter, recommend to use when catching a game as you can save on parking by parking farther away

Good way to literally go around the central business district. Reliable and safe.

Take a cheap ride to check out downtown. Easiest way to figure out what you want to do without walking around everywhere.

It is great fun to ride the people mover and see parts of Detroit. Try it. And it is a great way to get around.

A good way to travel around Detroit, but your standard public transit, otherwise. Affords a decent view of the city, but observe all normal rules of thumb for public transit.

What's the point of this? The monorail that goes in circles (in one direction), which barely anyone rides. I hope that Detroit experiences the deserved long-coming regeneration, and that the People Mover fulfils its promise. There are talks of extending it or connecting it to light rail up Woodward, the main boulevard; this may help give it more purpose.

Wow! It looks just like the monorail from the classic Simpsons episode. Pay your 75-cent fare, loop around downtown, and enjoy the views.

Do a loop on the People Mover to see the core of Detroit. It's about a 30 minute ride and quite entertaining...
