This city has a lot off huge buildings with interesting structures, quite some monuments and a lot of universities.

My family is originally from Cluj (I was born here in the states) but I was lucky enough to take a trip here to visit some relatives back in 2009. I spent alot of my time with family and did little sight seeing but all in all cluj was a lovely city. Warning: beware of gypsies! They will come right up to you and haggle and hustle you for money

In the north of Romania, Cluj Napoca is the university city par excellence of the country. Youthful atmosphere, good prices in hostels, great offer of bars and places to eat. It is a good place to start to get to know Romania, in this case with a lot of Hungarian influence in its architecture. The city is pleasant and elegant for walks on the trails of the small river Somes, also to know its palaces like the Bánffy that keeps the Museum of Fine Arts, the house of the hero Matias Corvin, the Catholic church of San Miguel in the Unirii square, the most important in the city and the Orthodox Cathedral located in the Plaza Mihai Viteazul.
