Caribbean Vacations

What might your life look like if you moved to a Caribbean island? Would you spend days on the beach, perhaps lazing under a palm frond-covered palapa, sipping everything you ever drank out of a coconut? (Special occasions, of course, would undoubtedly require the addition of a paper umbrella.) You'd feast on Caribbean lobster, jerk chicken or ... Read more
johnnycakes each evening before you spent hours dancing salsa or soca at open-air clubs. How long would it take to get old? A month? A year? Not even a lifetime? On your next relaxing vacation or adventurous journey to the Caribbean, ponder this while you try out your new lifestyle for a few days. At the same time, take advantage of the islands' lesser-known treasures: historic fortresses, sports venues, rum tours, shopping for local handicrafts. Everyone has their favorite island -- Anguilla to luxuriously chill out, Dominica for natural beauty, the Bahamas for resorts. Poke around a bit to find yours.

The Caribbean, certain destinations are ideal for.solo-female travellers. I've enjoyed many good times in my own and have always been able to meet totally dynamic individuals as well.

I love the Caribbean!! As someone in the travel industry before I became a writer, I was lucky enough to experience the best of the best! My favorite place? Virgin Gorda... Jost van Dyke... Jamaica's Port Antonio... Each island has it's own personality and I have never been to an island in the Caribbean I didn't love!
