On 15 minutes walking distance you can find behind the Halikarnas club the pier for Turkish Gullets. Here you can take a day tour in and around Bodrum bays for good prices. You can swim in open sea in beautiful clean waters and getting a nice tan. The boat daily tours are offering you a complete day tour with including lunch. Drinks are not included but its worth to experience a sea boat tour!

Fantastic day out for very little money, usually 6 stops for swimming etc, and midday meal some are inclusive so drinks are included but shop around as prices vary.

Turkish gulet cruising

Cruising the southern coast of Turkey is one of the most fantastic experiences you can have in Europe.

Top attractions…
It’s a great opportunity to visit Bodrum, the crusader castle and Roman amphitheatre are both worth seeing, usually at the western end of your gulet trip. Kalkan – the crew will probably stop here to re-fuel anyway and it’s a nice place to get off and go into alleyways and bazaars. Fethiye and Marmaris – big harbour towns that are fun to drop in and have a cut-throat shave. Gocek – a smaller harbour that usually represents the Eastern end of a gulet trip

Ruins you should visit….
Gemiler Island – can get busy but it’s worth getting off to visit such an interesting ruined medieval town with an incredible domed walkway up to top of island. Kekova Roads – home to the ancient city of Simena, part on land and part under water. Ucegiz – for rock tombs. Dalyan rock tombs at Caunus – probably most impressive of the Lycean rock tombs. You need to get off gulet, board a small chug chug boat and go a couple of miles up through the bull rushes to get there.

Bays worth thinking about…..
Sarsala – ir used to be a quiet little cove, very calm for evening mooring and midnight swims etc. Coldwtaer Bay – very pretty (may be crowded), I remember this having an old ruin on top of the headland in bay. Olu Deniz – well known sandy beach/lagoon – home to masses of Germans and best avoided although it might be worth anchoring at the other side of the entrance to the bay and swim in for a look. You might want to leave pretty promptly!
