This hotel is a hipster's dream. Unusual little rooms (which are cosy af) and an awesome bar downstairs. Really good for group bookings and super central for getting around.
We have just been to the restaurant. This is a special place with great food. Excellent Service and a cool yard in the inside of the hotel. Also cool place to just hang. They do have their own coconut water which they grow in Thailand.
I didn't sleep at the hotel but had an event there with my team from work. The lunch there was great and the bar is also very pleasant. Definitely worth going there to eat or even just for a drink.
As a real Berlin citizen, i dont have to sleep in a hotel;) But i do love to spend time at the Michelberger, cause they have a really good restaurant. The Food is always tasty. Plus: A lot of time, you can go there an see great Bands play for free.
Probably the coolest hotel in Berlin. Great rooms, great location & the best hotel breakfast I've had so far. Enjoy!
The No.1 hipster style hotel in Berlin! Great hotel frequented by the music and fashion scene Berlin. The hotel won several design awards and is absolutely unique in Berlin. Guests and even staff (from waiter to movie star) are from music and fashion business and a hot spot for meeting german stars and international celebrities. Furthermore they have a creative and young kitchen with a lot of organic food and snacks offered. They have a beautiful backyard which hosts BBQ evenings, concerts, markets and of cause their famous x-mas market with "Glühwein" and "Currywurst". The hotel is located right next to the U+S Bahn thats brings you easily to every spot and sight in Berlin. At the end its so much more than a hotel!
Michelberger is pure Berlin. It is young and quirky, cool and creative. If you're looking for a quiet hideaway this is not the place for you. If you want to be right in the middle of the Berlin vibe this is it. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the service is friendly. The bar is great and the restaurant is even better. The location is great for exploring the city, right between Kreuzberg 36 and Friedrichshain, about 10 min on the S-Bahn to Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg.
Michelberger is my home away from home in Berlin, and I look forward to staying there again soon.
Super cool hotel for the hipsters. Great location. Good late night bar scene. The only place to stay in Berlin.
What an oddly conceived place: the design aesthetic is like you've walked into a 1970s squat.
Could not have asked for more. Rooms, funkiness, music, food (especially breakfast buffet) and chill out library-like bar/lounge area simply incredible...and the price, unbeatable for what you get. Greatly recommended!!!
The service (a team of young and very helpful people) really make one feel welcome here. The atmosphere is funky and stylish, and the lobby (basically a library) invites you to just take a break, have a coffee, or watch a movie online (WLAN is free, hurray). The design of the hotel fits perfectly into the area that its located in: fashionable Friedrichshain. It’s more of a young person hotel that is very international at the same time, but I met some world wanderers of older age that felt very comfortable in the hotel too. I enjoyed it a lot and would come back to stay again.
Comfort, style, price and location; Michelberger is a rare spot that ticks all those boxes. The funky decor will be the first thing that strikes you upon entry and seems to reflect the easy-going mood throughout the whole place: the large lobby has hundreds of books and lots of comfy couches as well as a courtyard where many guests choose to hangout. Rooms were bright, comfortable and full of character--even the cheapest (€59), which I booked--and all come with an en suite. Free Wi-Fi everywhere was a pleasant surprise, as was the restaurant's food (Gulash soup!).
The best feature of Michelberger is the location. There's plenty to do and see on your doorstep and most are way cheaper than the tourist traps I saw in Mitte. Get your tourist kicks at the East Side Gallery (just around the corner) or go 2 stops on the train to Neukolln to shop. At night, walk five minutes to the legendary club Watergate.
Really cool hotel, right in front of the Warschauerstrasse U2 line stop, in the heart of the east berlin clubbing scene. The rooms are small but stylish. Nice café in the hall, great restaurant and free Wi-Fi in all the areas. Higly recommended.
