Spacious room, comfortable beds and lovely view from the bathrooms! Excellent rooms!
The receptionist helped us to arrange a room with a nice view (23rd floor) because I had left a comment with this request while booking.
However, I personally didn’t enjoy the breakfast buffet. Yes, there was pretty much everything.. however, noodles were too well cooked or buns were not very warm, fruit was bitter. Would give 3 stars to the food.
Very tranquil and peaceful. Staff is excellent. Pool spa and work out the best I've ever had at a hotel.
Grand and luxurious hotel in Beijing. Businessman and luxury travellers like to stay here. Of Course their equipment and service is high class. You want to enjoy SPA or foot and body massage is classy enjoy.
While not the newest of the 5-Star Hotels in Beijing (the Grand Hyatt opened in 2001), the Grand Hyatt is a fantastic hotel. Located walking distance from the Forbidden City, the Grand Hyatt has comfortable rooms, a gorgeous lobby with 40 foot floor to ceiling windows, and great service. Beds are comfortable, and it has a large fitness center with state of the art equipment. The pool is a little odd (in the basement, decorated like a cave with no natural light). It also has 2 great restaurants - Made in China (high-end chinese) and the Red Moon - more of a cocktail bar where you can smoke cigars and eat sushi and sashimi while watching local bands doing lounge-style covers of Guns and Roses tunes.
Grand Hyatt's come in a range of varieties: there's the tacky, though architecturally-striking, one in San Francisco's Embarcadero. Then there's this one, which from the outside looks like it could be the body double for a secret service HQ building. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable. Try and grab one on the Club level for free evening drinks and canapes.
Make sure you try and book a room with the breakfast buffet included. It's seems to be an almost endless variety of choices.
It was brand new when I stayed here. Nice and modern. Within walking distance to Tiananmen sqare, Imperial Palace, some hutongs.
I stayed here in 2008 - the rooms are very nice, the restaurant for breakfast is standard fare for travelers - a mix of western and Chinese options. The service level here is extremely high, if I ever walked through the lobby looking like I needed something - someone immediately assisted me. If you walk into the underground levels of the hotel - there are boutiques as well as a walkway to a much larger shopping center. The location of the hotel is very convenient - the Forbidden City is walking distance, so this is good for those visiting on either business or tourism purposes.
