This is a day spa where you can bathe in Britain’s only naturally warm, mineral-rich waters just as the Celts and Romans did over 2000 years ago. In the heart of the World Heritage Site, Thermae combines the best of the historic spa with contemporary design and facilities including a selection of relaxing spa treatments. It is a fabulous place to visit.

The trick to jump the queues at Thermae Spa is to book a massage - it's an enjoyable treat, too! Or you could visit in the evenings for one of their Twilight Spa sessions, which is pure luxury.

Absolutely gorgeous. It really feels like a premium experience from the moment you walk in. There’s 3 levels including the rooftop spa, the steam rooms were closed when I was there but still great value for money. Book ahead though or be ready to stand in line for a long time to get in, especially in winter!

Where to begin... first of all, be ready for a 45+ minute wait just to enter during there 'non busy' weekday times. Once inside, the locker room was extremely cramped and co-ed. If you're expecting to be able to take pictures to document your LAVISH £35 spa day, think again, no phones or cameras permitted. The water was luke warm, don't let the steamy pictures fool you. It was extremely loud and busy, the exact opposite of relaxing and calming. If you choose to spend additional money in the cafe, you don't get any additional time tacked on. But bottom line, it was very very crowded, you aren't really able to swim around in the baths, just hope to god you can find a small place and pray no one touches you.

The Thermae Spa is a must to anyone visiting Bath. Really relaxing to float in the pool and visit the different treatment rooms. There is an amazing rooftop pool with views over the city of Bath.

An incredible place to visit for a relaxing afternoon - especially the thermal baths on the roof with views over bath.

Rooftop pool has a nice view of the city at night and the steam pods are great for relaxing. However beware of going when it's busy!

This gets very busy, particularly at weekends, so it is worth telephoning them to see if you need to book in advance. If you are having a treatment they provide towels etc but if not you are welcome to borrow our spa pack (2 robes & 2 towels).

The quaint English town of Bath is so-called for its natural springs. The remodeled and renovated spa will make sure you leave suitably rejuvenated, ready for tea and scones.

Relax in the rooftop pool of the Thermae Bath Spa, the only natural thermal waters in the UK. Stunning!

We went to the Spa for a light lunch, then tried both the roof top hot pool and the Minerva bath with its massage jet, whirlpool and 'lazy river' operate on a timed cycle. The hot springs with pools that we have experienced in Canada – the Banff hot springs and the Radium hot springs – are considerably hotter, by which I mean the water temperature is much hotter. We found the temperature of the pools in Bath quite lukewarm. After two hours, we had a couples massage treatment which was very pleasant and we left the Spa well relaxed.

After years of delays and hurdles, they finally managed to open this place. It uses the same source as the historic spas, but with new pipes (the water in the historic spa is piped through lead pipes, I believe, and thus not safe for bathing. There's an amazing steam room with different chambers containing aromatherapy oils. Beautiful views from the rooftop bath. It can get crowded here.

This place was pretty fantastic. I loved the warm rooftop pools that had a great view of the city and idyllic hills. A very modern facility that felt very clean. Didn't explore all of the treatments and amenities, but had nice, relaxing time there.

This Spa is established on mineral rich warm water sources. It is not necessary to purchase any treatment to enjoy the facility as the entrance package allows guests to enjoy its Minerva bath, steam rooms and the open air rooftop pool; a especially nice to bathe under the rain fall. The fee also includes a light meal at the restaurant — a nice treat after a few hours in the water.

Don’t miss the opportunity to indulge yourself at one of the UK’s most breath-taking spas, Thermae Bath Spa. It’s Britain’s only natural thermal spa where you can bathe in naturally warm, mineral-rich waters in the open-air rooftop pool, overlooking the stunning Bath skyline. A wide range of massage, facial and body treatments are also available.
