Description
Hadrian's Gate is a triple triumphal arch built in the second century. It is very well-preserved because originally the front of the gate was encased inside Antalya's city walls. Today you can pass ... Read more
under the gates by walking across a glass platform; under your feet you'll see a selection of artifacts that have survived the years. This seems to be a popular hang-out and meet-up spot for young locals.

Hadrian's Gate (close to Rokka) is the most dramatic entrance into Antalya's Old Town. If you're a fan of gate/door photos, you have to make a detour via this way if you're staying in a different part of town. It's still in good condition but they've let it keep its aged feel nicely. Free to see of course.

this triumphal arch built by the Roman emperor Hadrian beautiful entrance into the old city. At one point in time the arch was covered by new fortifications of the walls around the old city and thus has remained in magnificent condition. The gate is truly lovely at night when it is lit up.

Hadrian's Gate is a triumphal arch which was built in the name of the Roman emperor Hadrian, who visited Antalya in the year 130. This beautiful entrance to the old city of Antalya, or Kaleici, rises up on four pedestals, and has three entrances with ornamental pillars and arches. Today, it is the only remaining gate in the old city walls.
