A statutory holiday in British Columbia, the Victoria Day long weekend is a popular time to travel, especially to Queen Victoria’s namesake city – Victoria, BC. Over 100,000 people gather for the biggest event of the year in the province’s capital. The Victoria Day festivities begin when the parade starts at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 20th.
