There’s a huge difference when it comes to tourists and travellers. The 12-day Boutique Local tour is for those who want to travel like a local. The start of your journey begins in Barcelona where you’ll take a walk through the Gothic Quarter before having dinner at a popular restaurant you won’t find in guidebooks. In Bilbao, you’ll get to try the regional Basque cuisine and then admire the Guggenheim at night.

Taking pictures in Barcelona

Eventually, your tour will take you to Porto in Portugal where the area by the water is a World Heritage site. Exploring Lisbon is best done by tram, so your guide will take you on board to show you the streets the way the locals see it. Once night falls, the group will have drinks in the trendy Barrio Alto district. Your trip ends in Madrid where you’ll visit the home of the Spanish Royal family and get some downtime so you can explore the city on your own.

Logistics: Your tour starts in Barcelona and ends in Madrid. It’s well advised to book some extra days at the beginning and end of your trip. In Barcelona, the W Hotel may not be a local experience, but it’s one of the most incredible hotels in the world. If you can fit it into your schedule, consider heading to Valencia where modern and old architecture meet.
