Canada requires all travellers entering the country to have a valid passport. British citizens usually do not need a visa to visit Canada for a short period. If they plan to have more than a short stay, they should check with the Canadian High Commission for entry requirements. Every airline has its own check-in requirements. Passengers travelling on WestJet can check in online and at an airport kiosk from 24 hours to 60 minutes before scheduled departure. The cut-off for checking baggage is at least three hours before the plane leaves.
