Currently the only airport in the Houston area with direct flights to Calgary is the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which is one of the busiest airports in both Texas and the United States. Flights from the U.S. arrive at the International Terminal of the Calgary International Airport. Unfortunately, the city's light rail system does not have a stop at the airport, but there is a rapid bus line, number 300, that provides express service to downtown. To buy a ticket for the bus you will need to go to the Mac's Convenience Store on the arrivals level or purchase one from the vending machine at Bus Bay 7. Hotels often offer free shuttle service from the airport as well. Taxis are available at all hours and generally cost about $40 to $45 to reach downtown. You can also rent a car from the on-grounds Rental Car Centre which is located on the departures level across the roadway from the main terminal building.
