Getting the perfect hotel at a great price is something we all strive for. As with all travel, you’re likely to find a good price on a hotel in Lubbock if you book far enough in advance, but a lot of hotels also offer great last minute deals in Lubbock. When there are beds left to fill, prices are often cut to attract last-minute deal hunters and spontaneous travellers who have the freedom and ability to visit Lubbock at the last-minute. You might not get your first choice of hotels in Lubbock, but you are likely to get more for your money. We don’t recommend you wait until the last-minute during peak seasons and when there are events taking place in Lubbock though, as it is likely that accommodation will fill up early – and you don’t want to be left without a bed!
When visiting Lubbock, there is plenty to explore – and finding a hotel near the main attractions will make this even easier. We recommend checking out hotels near Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, Science Spectrum Museum and OMNI Theater and Buddy Holly Center, or using our map feature to find hotels near your specific points of interest.
Depending on your budget, length of stay and other factors, you might want to find an apartment or hostel in Lubbock instead of a hotel. With the Skyscanner hotel search, you can set your filters by accommodation type to find your perfect match. On the flipside, you might not want to exclude hotels in Lubbock altogether – you could get a great deal and enjoy a visit with a little more luxury!
Perfectly awful boring small town. Full of churches and chain restaurants. Skip it.
Love living here!!! Great place to be. Raise a family, enjoy lots of activities and to just relax.
We love Lubbock. I met my husband while attending Texas Tech University. We've been all over the U.S., but have never found nicer people anywhere, than the friendly people of West Texas. The cost of living is low, housing prices are very good compared to other places in the USA. TTU is an awesome university, offering a top notch education. There are lots of museums, art galleries, science centers, and the civic center holds concerts and other venues. There's lots of sports bars and nightlife. There's upscale restaurants, like Cafe J, Manna Bread & Wine, Stella's, & Las Brisas, just to name a few. For ethnic foods, there are several Thai restaurants, like Thai Pepper, Thai Thai, & our favorite....Choo Chai. There's also Indian food at Maharajah, Japanese food at Yamagata, and Brazilian food at Churrasca, and Mexican food at Montelongo's. There's upscale shopping at places like Chrome, and bargain shopping at places from Thrift stores to Burlington coat factory.
This place is not nearly as bad as you'd expect and Texas Tech is a decent university. It's just in the middle of absolutely nowhere and has only recently shed its image as oil town.
