Getting the perfect hotel at a great price is something we all strive for. As with all travel, you’re likely to find a good price on a hotel in Charlottesville if you book far enough in advance, but a lot of hotels also offer great last minute deals in Charlottesville. When there are beds left to fill, prices are often cut to attract last-minute deal hunters and spontaneous travellers who have the freedom and ability to visit Charlottesville at the last-minute. You might not get your first choice of hotels in Charlottesville, but you are likely to get more for your money. We don’t recommend you wait until the last-minute during peak seasons and when there are events taking place in Charlottesville though, as it is likely that accommodation will fill up early – and you don’t want to be left without a bed!
When visiting Charlottesville, there is plenty to explore – and finding a hotel near the main attractions will make this even easier. We recommend checking out hotels near Monticello, John Paul Jones Arena and Monticello Visitors Center, or using our map feature to find hotels near your specific points of interest.
Depending on your budget, length of stay and other factors, you might want to find an apartment or hostel in Charlottesville instead of a hotel. With the Skyscanner hotel search, you can set your filters by accommodation type to find your perfect match. On the flipside, you might not want to exclude hotels in Charlottesville altogether – you could get a great deal and enjoy a visit with a little more luxury!
Walk the quaint streets around the old town and UVA campus and don't miss the Saturday morning farmer's market. So many great restaurants!
Charlottesville is a pretty easy city to like. I love the mix of old and new -- historic architecture mixed with the constant buzz of young energy from UVA students. There's also art and lots and lots of beer (seriously, I think there are like three beer gardens per capita).
A weekend in Charlottesville will be a weekend full of history and relaxation. Known primarily for being home to the University of Virginia campus, Charlottesville has been an important city since before the Civil War. Be sure to visit Monticello, the former home of President Thomas Jefferson and hit the historic old town before heading downtown to check out southern inspired restaurants and get your fill of nightlife.
Cute town with a lot of colonial history. Definitely have to check out Monticello if you are in the area, and if you can Madison's and Monroe's homes are not too far away either.
