Lovely city with interesting spots but really messy during summertime with open air festivals.

I may be biased; I’ve lived in Edinburgh all my life, but I think it’s the best city in the world. From the layers of history (literally, the new streets are built on top of the old) to the beautiful scenery, there’s an astonishing amount to do for anyone.

Edinburgh is my favorite city, out of all of the ones I've been to thus far. It has a bit of everything and a history and culture that is unparalleled. Plus the food here is awesome, and the scotch......oh the scotch. I could go on and on about Edinburgh.

Edinburgh is a beautiful city all year round but in August it transforms completely into a wonderland. It's the busiest, but by far the best time to visit if you enjoy live comedy, art, music, theatre... and things in between all those that I can't even describe. Though I live in Edinburgh, every August feels like I'm in a different city. Check out my profile for some of my favourite places to eat, drink and play - away from the tartan tourists.
