Cardiff is a great place to go either for a short break, a longer vacation, or as part of a multi-destination holiday. To find the perfect hotel for your needs in Cardiff, the Skyscanner hotel search is a great place to start. With plenty of ways to sort and filter your results, you can narrow down to find everything from the best 5 star hotels in Cardiff, to the best rated budget-friendly hotels. If you’re renting a car to travel to Cardiff you can check for parking, and if you are going to be coming straight from the airport you can easily see which hotels in Cardiff have airport shuttles to simplify your travel experience.
Getting the perfect hotel at a great price is something we all strive for. As with all travel, you’re likely to find a good price on a hotel in Cardiff if you book far enough in advance, but a lot of hotels also offer great last minute deals in Cardiff. When there are beds left to fill, prices are often cut to attract last-minute deal hunters and spontaneous travellers who have the freedom and ability to visit Cardiff at the last-minute. You might not get your first choice of hotels in Cardiff, but you are likely to get more for your money. We don’t recommend you wait until the last-minute during peak seasons and when there are events taking place in Cardiff though, as it is likely that accommodation will fill up early – and you don’t want to be left without a bed!
When visiting Cardiff, there is plenty to explore – and finding a hotel near the main attractions will make this even easier. We recommend checking out hotels near Cardiff City Stadium, St Fagans National History Museum and Roath Recreational Park, or using our map feature to find hotels near your specific points of interest.
Depending on your budget, length of stay and other factors, you might want to find an apartment or hostel in Cardiff instead of a hotel. With the Skyscanner hotel search, you can set your filters by accommodation type to find your perfect match. On the flipside, you might not want to exclude hotels in Cardiff altogether – you could get a great deal and enjoy a visit with a little more luxury!
I absolutely loved Cardiff, I would love to go again. Their plenty to do and see and the scenery is spectacular
I love Cardiff. Family history here helps, sure, but it has a ton of touristic appeal that should lure anyone away from the typical England/Scotland tourist circuit, at least for a few days. There's loads of history, including two castles and a Welsh life museum. There's sport, adventure, family fun, lots of outdoor space, and great nightlife. Even the food scene -- maybe not what the Welsh are typically known for -- has been getting better. Plus it's a great base for exploring South Wales and the Breacon Beacons.
This city was a happy surprise....loved Cardiff. It's walkable with pedestrian shopping streets and a beautiful castle in the middle. Bute Park is an amazing and huge park behind the castle. There are paths that go for miles through trees and along big green open fields. There are good restaurants too.
I love this small city... and it's awesome if you're a WHOVIAN aka Doctor Who fan. If you love Doctor Who... this is your city. Cardiff is right by the sea and is just beautiful. Very quiet and not a party city, but just a laid back city. Everywhere is a filming area for Doctor Who and they still film here. It's also the home of the Doctor Who Experience. And it's wonderful. If you're not a Whovian, it's just a nice place to be to relax. It's a peaceful city and you can walk everywhere.
