This is a really nice day trip for those who perhaps have longer to spend in Porto, and want to explore the surrounding area. It's often compared to Venice, and it's easy to see why when you visit. Aveiro is essentially a small town made up of little canals and colourful boats, making it very picturesque and a real treat for those who enjoy photography. Trains leave from Porto's São Bento train station throughout the day, and a ticket can be purchased from the ticket office for a reasonable price.

Aveiro is a little city that is called "portuguese veneza". There are a lot of things to do, parks to walk, ships to enjoy, diferentes foods... Worth it!

A city located one hour south of Porto, sometimes called the little Portuguese Venice, as it is surrounded by some channels. Their traditional boats, called "moliceiros", where used on Salt transportation from salinas, where they were produced. The city is also known for its Art Noveaux buildings and famous egg pastries called Ovos Moles! Love it.!

It’s called the "Venice" of Portugal. Really nice landmark here. And the coastline "Costa Nova" with its nice houses looks really nice!
