Can you say BALLER?! This place is amaze balls! I'm so glad we are not in a tourist trap or staying in a hotel. It's like staying in your own private beach.

I was planning on staying three days in Puerto Escondido. Ended up staying 10 (and I don't even surf, really). It's an awesome place to meet other travelers and if you're down to party, this is your town (although there are quieter, more family oriented sections of beach).

Loved it! Small and cosy with a beautiful sandy beach when you can enjoy coconut with chilli!

One of the world's most perfect spots in which to totally and completely chill out. I came here on a surf trip (even though I don't surf) with some friends for a week, and it was the sort of place I could have spent a month. Here's a dare: Just try to spend a few days here and feel stressed out. You won't be able to do it, I assure you. Long stretches of surfer-laden beaches are interspersed with inexpensive restaurants covered by thatched roofs and palapas serving lobster and margaritas. Mmm. I miss it just thinking about it.
