A pretty little town/village that straddles both the modern and old. There's an aqueduct from medieval times and a main street with modern stores. Worth a visit on the way to Amalfi.
Often overlooked in favour of Naples, Salerno is one of the earthiest Italian cities. And the water is so crystal clear. Do swim off the jetty or just enjoy the sunshine.
tasty authentic italian foods. markets. fresh fish.. a long sea front! the best of italy!
Seemed like a nice city; we got 2 coffees and 2 croissant for under €5. Great train system to Napoli (€17 and only 32mins)
