Ferrara is only 75 minutes by train from Bologna And the city centre is a beautiful short walk from train station Ferrara is full of ancient and historical buildings Amongst which the majestic Este Castello with its surrounding moat and luxury rooms U can also go up one of tall towers and get a 360 view of the whole renaissance town

A historic medieval city filled with UNESCO World Heritage sites, Ferrara is an attraction in and of itself for those that love the past. Even more exciting is the annual Palio di Ferrara, the world's oldest horse competition pitting eight districts against one another. A grand parade of drums and characters in medieval attire march through the streets, culminating in the main track for the games.
