National Park and the Beach are the attractions here in this area. The day I took the bus here, it was very crowded like 2 to 3pm in the afternoon. I checked out both the national park and beach, but wasn't too impressed. Good place to hike and then relax on the beach with a drink.
Rated #23 in the world by TA. A must see in Costa Rica. A perfect combination of jungle, wildlife, adventure, and beautiful beaches. Breathtaking ocean views. Lots of hotels, restaurants, bars and discos. A very unique National Park. Zip lining, canyoning, white water rafting, mangrove, hanging bridges, jet skis, ATVs, sailing, sportfishing, snorkeling, dolphin watching, hiking, waterfalls, kayaking, parasailing, surfing. Everything you are looking for in just one place.

Beautiful national park on the Pacific coast. About a 3 hour drive from San José. There is also an airport if you want to fly instead. Very nice beaches, and a lot of accessible wild life. I was amazed at how many animals I saw while walking around the park.
