There are many domestic and foreign airlines that fly to Varna including Bulgaria Air, Brussels Airline and Austrian Airlines. Varna airport has two terminals-Terminals 2 and 3 as well as a VIP lounge located in the old Terminal 1 building. There is a bus and taxi service to transfer visitors from the airport to the centre of the city 10 km away.

What to do and see in Varna

Enjoy the sea-side resorts of Golden Sands, St. Constantine and Helena where the sea-water temperature ranges between 23-27°C during the summer, the sand is pure and tiny and there are hot mineral springs. Varna also has many museums that display artifacts from the Thracian, Greek, Roman and Byzantine periods. Among the dazzling array of exhibits are artifacts from the oldest gold treasures in the world. Varna also offers up a rich cosmopolitan culture where you can pick from a choice of art galleries, museums, cultural events and open-air exhibitions. While there, you can also sample diverse cuisine with many dishes prepared to traditional recipes.
