Best time to book a flight to St. Petersburg

As a northern city, seasonal variations are extreme in St. Petersburg. Summer, particularly during June when the sun never seems to set and the city is alive at all hours, is the most popular time to visit and cheap hotels and flights are hard to come by. Autumn and spring can get rainy, but they also offer good deals and fewer crowds. Winter is, as you'd expect, cold and snowy, although almost all of the major attractions are still open and finding discounts on hotels is easy. There are lots of stores and restaurants, although they are mostly chain establishments, such as McDonald's, Burberry, and Michael Kors, that you're likely to find in any major international airport. There is, however, an Imperial Porcelain store selling more local wares as well as a number of souvenir shops. There is also a business lounge, VIP service, free unlimited Wifi, and ATMs on the first and third floors.
