Wascana Centre stretches 9.3 square kilometres around Wascana Lake through the centre of Regina, and includes the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, Saskatchewan Science Centre, and the MacKenzie Art Gallery. Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, is a good day trip 71 kilometres west of Regina on the Trans-Canada Highway. A huge sculpture, Mac the Moose, guides the way to Moose Jaw, and downtown buildings tell their historical tales through colourful murals painted on their walls.
