How to Check In on Mahan Air

Travelers departing from Kerman, Shiraz, Ahwaz, Zahedan, Gheshm, Sary, Tehran Mehrabad and Bandar Abbas airports can take advantage of Mahan Air's online check-in portal. Access opens twenty-four hours before the flight is scheduled to depart and closes ninety minutes before take-off. Passengers departing from other airports must check-in at an airport counter, and they should plan to arrive at the airport at least three hours before an international flight or two hours before a domestic flight.

Baggage Allowance and Fees on Mahan Air

All travelers on Mahan Air are permitted to check one piece of luggage that weighs no more than 30 kilograms and that has no sides longer than 158 centimetres. Additional fees will be levied at the airport for checked bags that exceed the weight or size allowances. Economy class travelers can carry on one piece of hand luggage weighing 5 kilograms or less; business class travelers have that weight allowance increased to 7 kilograms. Small personal items like binoculars and books are exempt from the weight calculation.

Choosing the Best Seats on Mahan Air

Mahan Air offers both economy and business class seats onboard its flights. Even in economy class, seat pitch is never less than a comfortable 31". Travelers can choose their preferred service class and seat at the time of booking. One seat change is also permitted during the check-in process (online or at the airport).

Booking Fees on Mahan Air

There is no fee to book a flight on the Mahan Air website. However, online booking through the airline is restricted to those travelers who hold a valid Iranian Shetab banking card. Travelers from outside of Iran who do not have a Shetab card must book through one of Mahan Air's preferred travel agencies, who may charge their own additional booking fee.
